Job Description:
We are seeking an ambitious FM Procurement Category Manager to support the growth of a greenfield procurement function within an innovative organization. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-class research and innovation centre embarking on a significant growth journey.
The Procurement Category Manager for Facilities Services will be a key member of the new procurement team, supporting the Head of Procurement in delivering top-tier procurement activities, developing robust category strategies, and managing supplier relationships across the group.
You will take ownership of the FM category, including Hard and Soft services, Laboratory Equipment, and Services, managing a varied and expanding estate. The ideal candidate will have experience building category strategies from scratch and implementing them effectively across organizations.
This role is perfect for someone with an ambitious mindset, capable of working in an agile environment, and excited about supporting the growth and development of a greenfield procurement function.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* At least 8 years of procurement experience, with a significant focus on Facilities Management sourcing.
* Experience managing procurement for laboratory equipment and related services within an FM context.
* Proven track record in leading complex procurement projects and delivering measurable value.
* Familiarity with highly regulated industries (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Research) is advantageous.
* Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is desirable.
* MCIPS qualification or active pursuit of full membership is highly desirable.

The role is based in Oxford, with a requirement to be on-site three days a week. Candidates must have the legal right to work permanently in the UK.
