We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. We have strong values and we're proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going 'the extra mile' for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:
Is it important for you to have a satisfying job where you feel supported?
If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you've been looking for!
We are currently recruiting for a full-time or part time Support Worker- A UK manual driving license is required to drive service vehicles
We are currently recruiting for a new team member to support 8 individuals in their own homes in the Parkhead area of Glasgow. We support individuals from the ages of 40 to 69 with a wide variety of complex health needs, including epilepsy, visual impairments and diabetes to ensure they live the best lives possible. For most of the people we support, this includes full moving and positioning support, meals, accessing the community, medication and personal care.
In the past, the people we support have faced a lot of challenges but this hasn't stopped them from enjoying life! They enjoy some of the same activities as each other, such as parties, arts and crafts, attending community events, shopping and going out to eat. However, they also enjoy their own individual activities, including listening to music and attending chapel and would love people with similar interests to support them.
To ensure the people we support have freedom to do the activities they enjoy, our shifts start at 7am and finish at 9pm. We support these individuals 7 days a week, so require flexibility to work some weekends, waking nights and days on a rota basis.
The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun!
They like people who are reliable and honest, which helps build trust so they know that you have their best interests at heart.
Here at Community Integrated Care we aim to be a warm, welcoming and inclusive employer, where all colleagues feel they belong. We want to an organisation that is truly fair and equal to all - where individual diversity is valued, unique characteristics celebrated and everyone feels able to bring their true selves to work.
By encouraging and embracing a range of diverse backgrounds, experiences, capabilities and viewpoints, we will build a stronger, richer, more vibrant workforce, which reflects the people we support, and the communities in which we work. It helps us make better decisions, bring fresh ideas and become a true provider and employer of choice.
This publicly sets out the promises we've made to achieving this vision and how we will hold ourselves to account to getting there. Community Integrated Care is an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer.
