Sutton Recruitment are accepting applications for a Sports Centre Manager to join a well-established business brand who will be responsible for the day to day operations ensuring the smooth running of the leisure operation and deliver a high quality and safe experience for all who visit the facility.
Having had a recent six figure refurbishment, you will portray an emphasis on customer satisfaction, people development and sales generation with a mission to inspire everyone to embrace the facility and enjoying its purpose.
The position of Sports Centre Manager comes with a high degree of autonomy alongside personal development and the opportunity to implement your own ideas.
Key Requirements:
•You need to be commercially minded and have the development of the team at heart to ensure the delivery of the best centre and service to the local community.
•A proven track record in managing a sporting leisure facility.
•Strong focus on customer services.
•You will be a strong leader and confident communicator with exceptional organisational skills to enable you to prioritise.
•Monitor cash handling procedures on a regular basis.
•Reporting on financial management to include maintaining statistical and financial records and producing monthly reports.
•Report and record any health and safety or maintenance issues that cannot be fixed/repaired on site.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operations – overseeing daily operations including cleanliness, maintenance and safety.
•People – supporting recruitment, induction and training as and when required alongside developing the current team (6-10 employees) to deliver outstanding customer experience. Organising of staffing rotas.
•Budgeting and Finance – Planning and managing the centre’s budget, controlling expenses and generating income.
•Data Management – Maintain accurate records of bookings, memberships and other relevant information ensuring compliance is maintained with relevant regulations and standards.
•Business Development - Increase occupancy levels promoting the facility via marketing and organising competition events. Implement strategies to increase revenue and maintain the centre’s reputation.
•Health and Safety – Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
Aside from running the facility day to day, you will also have the opportunity to become part of the company charity trust.
What’s on offer:
•Salary of £35,000.00 (DOE)
•Potential bonus.
•Working week of 40 hours per week with expectation of one day to be worked over the weekend.
•Annual leave of 20 days plus 8 bank holidays.
