Role Overview
Our Counter Terrorism Borders Officers are at the forefront of protecting national security from threats posed by terrorism and organised crime at borders and ports in Surrey and Sussex. They manage known and unknown threats related to travel across borders for terrorism and organised crime purposes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise a team of borders officers within the Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTP SE) Border Policing Team.
2. Gather and supervise the submission of intelligence related to terrorism, extremism, and organised crime.
3. Collaborate with partners and stakeholders.
4. Generate high-quality, detailed reports.
5. Lead with strong ethical standards and enable team performance.
6. Make informed decisions in time-critical situations.
Candidate Requirements
* Substantive Police Sergeants/Detective Sergeants preferred.
* Strong communication skills and inquisitive nature.
* Experience in leadership and collaboration.
* Ability to understand root causes and take appropriate action.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Willingness to travel within the region and UK.
* Ability to obtain and maintain DV security vetting; UK residency for the past ten years is required.
