Job Description:
A Senior Project Manager earns £55k - £65k or more. Why shouldn’t a Senior Architect or Technologist?
In fact, you can earn that or more in a Building Regulations Principal Designer (BR PD) role, straight from an Architectural Practice.
This role offers promotions with pay rises, better pay than project managers from day one, a 9-5 lifestyle, bonuses, pension, and private health benefits, enhancing your lifestyle.
You won’t be wasting your years of experience, education, and skills by moving out of Architecture into the Building Regulations industry.
This position is suitable for someone with some experience in a BR PD role, either in a practice or with another consultancy.
No extensive experience is required; nobody has completed an HRB process fully yet.
Your existing knowledge is valuable and more applicable here than in an architectural team.
This is a permanent, client-side advisory role, where you won’t be the duty holder initially, allowing an easier transition. When you become a duty holder in the future, you’ll be prepared.
Enjoy all the perks with less risk.
The role is flexible, allowing you to work from home and come to the office as needed.
What you’ll be doing
* Ensuring submitted work from other disciplines complies with building regulations.
* Verifying that specifications are built and applied as designed.
* Managing and organizing compliance.
* Advising the end-user client on responsibilities and design decisions.
* Building and managing a team to delegate tasks.
* Eventually managing a P&L and leading a division within an established business.
What you’ll need
* Senior Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist/Technician.
* Good general knowledge of Building Regulations, Accessibility, Fire Safety, and sustainability. (If there’s something you don’t know, knowing where to find it is sufficient. No one expects photographic memory.)
* The ability to read drawings and understand Building Regulations in principle.
* Proficiency with trackers and spreadsheets for project management and organization.
