Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronics systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to address technical challenges and contribute to our competitiveness.
This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally, applying your skills to drive innovation and connect racing lessons to production vehicles, shaping the future of motorsports.
What You’ll Do
1. Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing.
2. Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
3. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop solutions.
4. Evaluate and select components and technologies from external suppliers.
5. Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure performance and reliability.
6. Oversee prototype and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, firmware/software integration, and testing.
7. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
* Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
* Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
* Master’s degree in relevant fields.
* Experience in automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
* Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
* Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
* Knowledge of control systems and theory.
