Offer description

We are looking for a Chair to lead our North Tees & Hartlepool Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) and help us review, shape and improve maternity services.

The Maternity and Neonatal Voices partnership (MNVP) are an independently led group who work together to review and support local maternity and Neonatal services, listen to the voices of service users, co-produce the design and implementation of services and support the LMNS to provide quality assurance and surveillance across maternity services.

It is important to have an active MNVP which represents and supports those using the Maternity/ Neonatal Services and enable the services to improve.

An essential requirement is that you can demonstrate that you have used Maternity and/or Neonatal Services as a service user or have experience of working regularly with new/ expectant parents and are not employed by North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust .

What is a MNVP?

An MNVP listens to the experiences of women, birthing people and families, and brings together service users, staff and other stakeholders to plan, review and improve maternity and neonatal care.

MNVPs ensure that service users voices are at the heart of decision-making in maternity and neonatal services by being embedded within the leadership of provider trusts and feeding into the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS).

This influences improvements in safety, quality, and experience of maternity and neonatal care.

Commitment

You would normally be expected to spend 3-4 days per month on MNVP work and will be remunerated at a rate of £150 per day(Paid as expenses)

As Lead for the NHS, you are independent from the Trust.

The role will be offered for a two-year period.
