We now have an opportunity for a Desk Based Account Manager (DBAM) to join our team EMEA Head Office in Oldham. As a DBAM, you will be a proactive Account Manager operating as the main contact for our customers and responsible for developing long term customer sales relationships. The role will be working Monday to Friday within a hybrid model (3 days in the office and 2 days at home).
JOB DUTIES:
* Deliver individual sales target against revenue, GP and exclusive brands and AV, as defined by ADI UK Leadership Team
* Develop and grow strong relationships with allocated customer base:
o includes outbound calls to generate sales and service opportunities
o Inbound call handling
* Develop and document account development plans for existing and new customers
* Capture all customer detail accurately in our CRM system
* Accurately provide customer quotations and process manual orders to meet KPI’s
* Work with all ADI departments and vendors to strengthen ADI market presence
* Direct customers to the correct teams for technical support & account queries
* Upsell through attachments and complete solution orders
* Support new business onboarding and revenue generation
* Manage customer expectation and communicate with customer to resolve issues, complaints, invoice queries and back order management
* Effectively communicate with both external & internal customers
* Provide exceptional customer experience against all customer transactions, aligned with our CX charter
* Submit an accurate monthly sales forecast on a weekly basis
YOU MUST HAVE:
* Proven sales/customer service experience in a similar position, ideally from B2B product distribution background (ideally trade, electronics, security products)
* A proficient understanding of key sales principles and best practices
* Proven professional experience in generating & closing sales opportunities
* An ability to influence across internal teams
* Significant experience in selling products, with the ability to establish and build relationships quickly
* Strong inter-personal skills
* PC literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Excel, knowledge of SAP and Sales Force (desirable)
* Strong experience in decision making, determined and result driven mindset, ability to quickly resolve issues
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to work both independently and as a team player
