Personal Injury Claims Handler / Legal Assistant

TSR Legal are working in partnership with a respected forward-thinking, specialist insurance group to appoint an experienced PI Claims Handler to join their professional team based in Swansea. The Role:
As a PI Claims Handler, you’ll manage a caseload of personal injury claims, overseeing the process from initial notification through to settlement or resolution. The role requires a balanced mix of legal knowledge, claims experience, and customer service, with a focus on achieving fair and efficient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessing and validating personal injury claims against relevant legal and policy criteria.
* Investigating liability and gathering necessary evidence to support resolution.
* Negotiating settlements and managing litigation processes where required.
* Maintaining accurate records, reserves, and documentation throughout the claim’s lifecycle.
* Ensuring all claims are handled in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
* Liaising with solicitors, insurers, and third parties in a professional and efficient manner.
* Supporting the wider team with training, compliance, and performance targets.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Experience:
* Proven experience in handling PI claims within a legal or insurance setting.
* Strong working knowledge of the claims process, liability assessment, and relevant regulations.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
* Competent in using claims and/or case management systems.
