The role
As a Nuclear Training Deliverer, you'll play a vital role in developing the nuclear safety knowledge and capability of people across the Devonport site. Your work will directly support national defence by ensuring teams have the technical understanding needed to safely operate, maintain and regulate some of the UK's most important defence assets.
Day-to-day, you'll deliver a wide range of nuclear safety-related courses, ranging from awareness training to more in‑depth technical modules, engaging with colleagues from the shop floor through to senior leaders. This is a unique opportunity to influence learning culture across a complex site, improve the transfer of specialist knowledge and help shape a safer, more capable workforce.
* Deliver high-quality nuclear safety training to develop competencies aligned with Licence Conditions 10 and 12.
* Maintain and continually improve training content by working closely with the Learning and Development team and applying the Training Quality Management System.
* Provide technical expertise in the design and development of new nuclear training courses aligned to the Defence Enterprise Nuclear Competency Framework.
* Carry out administration and reporting tasks associated with the organisation, delivery and evaluation of training.
* Engage with a wide range of learners, from apprentices and graduates to specialists and senior stakeholders, to support capability growth across the site.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Nuclear Training Deliverer
* Experience of working within the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme or the civilian nuclear power sector.
* Experience delivering technical or safety-related training - Desirable
* Experience designing or maintaining training materials and contributing to training standards - Desirable
* Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Familiarity with compliance training requirements and nuclear industry regulations.
Qualifications for the Nuclear Training Deliverer
* Qualifications in instructional design, training delivery or nuclear-specific disciplines - Preferred
* Level 3 Award in Adult Education & Training or equivalent – Desirable
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
