Enjoy this interesting role, using your fabric technical knowledge, to help produce our renowned premium brand ladieswear, in a wide range of high quality fabrics. This is a newly created post which would be ideal for someone from a textiles background who has technical fabric expertise. Use your extensive knowledge of fabric to work with our Fashion & Print Design, Production and Purchasing Teams:- sourcing fabric, identifying quality issues, solving supply problems, and helping to develop new product, all made in the UK.
Work alongside our friendly and highly knowledgeable garment, manufacturing and purchasing specialists, liaise with external suppliers, and assist with fabric selection research and range development. As well as fabric sourcing, you will be responsible for legal compliance, test reporting and quality control.
Be the organisational support for the creative process, by managing administrative tasks, and coordinating workflows, ensuring smooth communication across all departments.
This is a rare and unique opportunity for a someone with proven industry experience to make an important contribution to the development of our ethically made, locally manufactured, luxury ladieswear.
Responsibilities include:
* Fabric technical support to Fashion Design, Fabric Production and Purchasing when fabric sourcing and throughout the garment make-up process.
* Help solve any fabric issues in Product Development and Garment Production.
* Assist the in-house Design team with sourcing new fabric as well as the development of bought-in finished fabrics and new greige bases.
* Supplier Liaison, visiting mills and fabric fairs, in the UK & abroad, if/when required.
* Process administration and workflow coordination. Compile the range list, ensuring accuracy, thorough communication with all departments and timely delivery to ensure deadlines are met.
