An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Digital Product Teams as a Test Analyst, based in Newcastle.

About the role

17. Management Grade A
18. This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
19. We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
20. The base location for this role is Newcastle Upon Tyne

What you'll do

21. Collaborating with Greggs stakeholders, developers and 3rd party systems integrators to gain full understanding of the requirements to be delivered
22. Utilising existing testing tools for full end to end test of the system
23. As part of the scrum team give test estimates for scoping, planning and execution of tests
24. Creation and execution of test scripts including running full regression tests and sharing results and risks with key stakeholders
25. Logging issues within our defect tracking tool and ensure collaboration with the team to resolution

About you

You will fit right into this role if you have:

26. Strong foundation in testing practices, including BDD with Cucumber, end-to-end automation using Playwright, CI/CD integration (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and basic performance testing with JMeter
27. Proficient in API testing (REST/SOAP) with tools like Postman and SoapUI, strong grasp of HTTP protocols, authentication (OAuth, API keys), and skilled in validating JSON/XML payloads, headers, and response times
28. Experienced with Azure Service Bus and messaging systems, including queues, topics, subscriptions, and dead-lettering; skilled in using tools like Service Bus Explorer and testing asynchronous message flows in event-driven architectures
29. Strong SQL skills for backend data validation, with an understanding of NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB and MongoDB where applicable
30. A strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
31. Have proven high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
32. Have experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at pace
33. Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
34. Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of analysing information and issues to identify current and potential problems
