Department International Recruitment, Partnerships and Mobility The International Recruitment, Partnerships and Mobility (IRPM) department makes up part of the Global Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions Directorate and has around 50 York-based and offshore staff working in four key areas: international student recruitment; global partnerships, short courses, and study abroad. About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced international partnerships professional to join the team as Global Partnerships Manager. This is a new role created to drive forward and support the development of global partnerships that align with the University’s mission and enrolment growth objectives. You will work strategically with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop and deliver global partnerships and business development opportunities for the university to grow its presence and recruitment performance in target regions and markets. You will manage the Global Partnership Officers and ensure a high level of service delivery and account management to our faculties as well as our partners. You will also play a key role in evaluating partnership opportunities, developing business cases, and through the delivery of effective market engagement plans including planning and advising on business travel and other profile raising activities. The successful candidate will bring highly developed knowledge and experience of successful partnerships development activity within the international Higher Education sector. You will have strong business development and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively to engage and influence others. Reporting to the Head of Global Partnerships, you will collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams across the university, ensuring policy and process is efficient and there is a shared understanding of partnership objectives and priorities. Skills, Experience & Qualification needed Details of the main qualifications, knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications essential to the post (as stated in the ‘person specification’ in the job template) Role Specific: Highly developed knowledge of partnerships development activity within the international Higher Education sector Knowledge of trends in higher education internationalisation including research collaboration, Transnational Education (TNE), student recruitment, student mobility and student experience Knowledge of issues related to the recruitment and admission of international students including through international partnerships and pathways Experience of developing and managing successful multifaceted partnerships with other education, industry, government and research organisations in an international context Experience of new business development with international organisations to meet targets including data and market intelligence analysis, forecasting trends and future developments Experience of stakeholder management, maintaining networks and the ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders Experience in leading, managing and motivating others to achieve results Experience in the development of strategies and their translation into successful delivery plans Understanding of the regulatory and statutory frameworks related to developing TNE initiatives Qualifications: Level 6 qualification.
