About the Role:
* Job Type: Temporary/supply position, with potential for ongoing work
* Location: Day nursery in Walkergate
* Hours: Flexible shifts available – full-time, part-time, or term-time
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children’s development in line with the EYFS framework
* Deliver stimulating and age-appropriate activities
* Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
* Encourage children’s emotional, social, and educational development
* Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain high standards of care
Requirements:
* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent)
* Previous experience working in an early years or nursery setting
* Good knowledge of the EYFS and child development
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* A caring, professional, and flexible attitude
* Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (essential)
