Overview
Head of Maths role at Witherslack Group, supporting children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will be resilient and dedicated, and you will be part of a supportive team with access to in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals.
Responsibilities
* Work with children and young people with ASD/ SEMH needs to help them learn and progress.
* Contribute to a positive, therapeutic learning environment and build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
* Collaborate with the department to develop a Maths curriculum and contribute to the leadership of the Maths department.
* Engage with the school’s supportive structures and participate in ongoing professional development.
* Help create a rewarding teaching career within the Witherslack Group.

Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status
* The ability to relate the subject to each pupil and build strong relationships
* A can-do attitude and teamwork orientation
* Enthusiasm and expertise to build and lead a Maths department
