Teaching Assistant – Full Time Location: Hastings Start Date: January 2026 Pay: £89 per day Contract: Full-time, ongoing Requirement: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (mandatory) Are you a resilient, committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a school that truly needs you? We are working with a vibrant but challenging primary school in Hastings that is seeking a confident, proactive TA to join their team from January 2026. This role would suit someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, stays calm under pressure, and is passionate about supporting pupils who need consistency, patience and firm-but-fair guidance. What the role involves: Supporting pupils across EYFS/KS1/KS2 with a range of social, emotional and learning needs Providing 1:1 and small-group interventions, particularly around behaviour, regulation and engagement Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement strategies and maintain positive learning routines Being a steady, reliable presence for children who benefit from structure and strong boundaries Contributing to a team that values inclusion, restorative practice and resilience The ideal candidate: Has experience working in challenging school settings or with pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs or trauma Can build relationships quickly while maintaining high expectations Is confident, assertive and able to defuse situations with calm, consistent support Understands the importance of safeguarding and professional conduct Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (required to be considered) This is a brilliant opportunity to become part of a hardworking, supportive staff team where every day brings something different – and where your impact is genuinely felt.
