We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our healthcare team at HMP Hatfield.
HMP Hatfield is a Category D men's prison and Young Offenders Institution located in Hatfield, South Yorkshire. The site offers a range of services comprising of a Physical Health team, Mental Health Team, Pharmacy Team and Substance Misuse Tea. The site have have a supportive and welcoming team, and are located close to the M62, M18 and M180, and has free onsite parking for all staff
Hours
This position is part time cover 20 hours a week (5 sessions)
Salary
This position is part time, youll receive an annual salary up to 130,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience

Main duties of the job
Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldnt usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
2. Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
3. Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required
11. MBChB or MBBS
12. Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
13. Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
14. Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
15. Evidence of continuing professional development
16. Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
17. RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
