Position: Real Estate Intern - Work Placement 2024/25 Academic Year Location: London Timeline: 6 to 12-month program Group Overview: Sculptor Real Estate invests in both opportunistic real estate private equity and real estate credit in the U.S. and Europe. With the help of Sculptor Capital's extensive network of relationships, Sculptor Real Estate focuses on fundamental analysis and due diligence to identify and invest in both traditional and niche asset classes. As active investors supported by dedicated, internal asset management professionals, Sculptor Real Estate maintains a strong focus on monetization once an asset has achieved its business plan. Specialties within the team: Acquisitions: sources, conducts diligence, analyzes, and ultimately purchases investments for the Firm's real estate portfolios Asset Management: oversees assets within the Firm's portfolios to ensure that they are managed effectively and efficiently with the objective of maximizing return Key Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining financial models (Excel), forecasting and analyzing cash flow, capital structure, acquisition / disposition strategy, etc. for existing assets and new investments Preparing investment memoranda to support financial analysis, analyze market conditions (macro and micro), and outline disposition strategy and investment returns Reviewing market research to formulate opinions on market conditions and to support underwriting assumptions How you will develop: Gain expertise across geographies and asset classes (both debt and equity) Have access to a network of industry leaders for alternative asset management Build a skill set that will be the foundation of your career Hands-on experience in acquisitions in a small analyst class that will allow you exposure to a wide range of learning opportunities Qualifications: Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in Real Estate investing Business majors preferred, please have GPA equivalent scores reflected on resume Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs) Possess strong financial acumen and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively Motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working Demonstrated confidence, maturity, and proactive nature Eagerness to learn and take on responsibility
