GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic KS3 Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Derby area from September 2025. As a KS3 TA, this role offers the opportunity to assist pupils’ learning, support teachers in the classroom, and help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for older students. Responsibilities as a KS3 Teaching Assistant: Support teachers in delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4 subjects. Provide one-to-one or small-group support to pupils who need additional guidance. Encourage pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. Assist with classroom management and maintaining a productive learning environment. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support pupils’ holistic development. Requirements for KS3 Teaching Assistant: Experience working with secondary school pupils is desirable. Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to learning and behaviour. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
