About the Role
As a key member of the Community Planning team, you'll provide administrative support across multiple services, including Youth, Library and Heritage, Rangers, Events, and broader Community Development programs. This is a fast-paced, rewarding role where your ability to multitask, use initiative, and work independently and as part of a team will be highly valued.
* Provide broad administrative support, including diary management, travel bookings, correspondence, and document preparation.
* Coordinate facility hire bookings, ensuring smooth scheduling and communication with stakeholders.
* Assist with the creation of posters, letters, presentations, and reports to promote community programs and initiatives.
* Support procurement processes (quotes, purchase orders, requisitions).
* Maintain accurate records and assist with updates to corporate documents and templates.
* Liaise effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and community members.
* Support event coordination and contribute to the success of community development projects.
* Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with Council policies, WHS standards, and relevant legislation.
* Work independently with minimal supervision and be a team player.
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* High-level proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Strong attention to detail with a customer-first mindset.
* Experience in an administrative or community services setting is desirable.
