Pastoral Mentor – (Full-Time) ASAP Start Location: Enfield, Northt London Salary: £475–£500 per week (dependent on experience and/or qualifications) — weekly pay (PAYE) Start Date: Oct 2025/Immediate start The Role A specialist provision in Enfield, a short walk from Tukey Street station is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Mentor to support young people aged 11–16 who are currently outside of mainstream education. Many of the pupils have experienced disrupted learning, social challenges, or involvement with external agencies, and require a high level of pastoral care to help them thrive. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the wellbeing and personal development of vulnerable young people. As a Pastoral Mentor, you will be a trusted adult, helping students build resilience, develop positive relationships, and re-engage with education in a safe and supportive environment. What You’ll Be Doing: Building strong, supportive relationships to create a sense of trust and belonging Providing pastoral support around emotional wellbeing, attendance, and safeguarding concerns Encouraging positive decision-making and self-regulation strategies Acting as a consistent role model, offering guidance and encouragement Working closely with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic support plans Promoting inclusion and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning What we offer As a Behaviour Support Assistant and part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
