SEN Teacher Location: Enfield Contract: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: September 2026 We are seeking a passionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEN school in Enfield, supporting pupils with complex communication needs. Our school serves a wonderfully diverse cohort of learners, with approximately 70% of students being non-verbal. Communication is at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking for a teacher who is confident, creative and committed to inclusive, pupil-centred practice. The Role Deliver engaging, individualised learning to pupils with a range of SEN needs Use Makaton, PECS and other AAC tools as core methods of communication Adapt teaching creatively within the school’s bespoke curriculum Work closely with therapists, support staff and families to support holistic development Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can thriveThe Ideal Candidate PGCE and QTS (essential – non-negotiable) Strong competence in Makaton, PECS and similar communication systems Previous SEN teaching experience is highly desirable Primary-trained teachers are very welcome — our curriculum is specialist and fully supported A calm, patient and resilient approach, with a genuine passion for SEN education Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practiceWhy Join Us?
