The post is 30hrs per week, Tuesday to Friday: working 8.30 - 5pm Tues, 8.30 - 4.30pm Wed/Thurs and 8.30 - 4pm on Fridays. The role will also cover a Tuesday evening (currently 10.30am – 7pm) once every 3 weeks during term time. This is on a rota basis with the team as the service currently offers evening courses, but look for flexibility within the team as the day or frequency of evenings maybe subject to change in future terms.

You need to have good organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure enquiries and enrolments are processed consistently, and have the ability to maintain confidentiality, complying with data protection requirements.
Adult and Community Learning offer courses for adults and families across the county. Whether learners wish to develop skills and qualifications for employment or everyday life, support children’s education, pursue an interest, gain confidence or just to meet new people in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the Business Support team are there to help learners at every stage of their journey, from initial enquiries and enrolment to administering and invigilating exams. As part of the invigilation team, there may be occasions where you would be required to travel to other teaching venues to help invigilate exams.
You will be a part of the small friendly team based at a busy reception during term time so you will need to be confident interacting with a wide range of learners, staff and visitors coming in as well as via the telephone, email and online. The team also manage the ACL Service’s administration requirements, and process a large number of enrolment forms. There may be the opportunity to work from home during non-term-time periods (business needs permitting).
You will work proactively, always looking for ways of improving how we work and contributing to the outcomes of the service you are supporting as well as the outcomes of the Business Support Service.
