Job Title: Construction Manager

About the Opportunity:
NRL is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a 12-month IR35 contract with a respected client. This role offers the chance to support a major project within a highly regulated environment, contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality construction delivery. What You’ll Be Doing:
• Provide construction expertise during constructability, HAZOP/HAZCON, and early planning activities.
• Deliver construction work scopes aligned with project strategy, meeting cost and schedule targets without compromising safety or quality.
• Lead risk management activities and embed outputs into construction plans.
• Conduct readiness reviews ensuring resources, procurement, and equipment are in place.
• Promote nuclear safety and maintain high standards on-site.
• Manage quality through all construction phases and support timely completion.
• Prepare, review, and approve key construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with TDA Process 33 and CDM requirements.
• Coordinate daily with PM/PE teams to minimise programme risk.
• Track and report NPT to support programme assurance.
• Develop SQEP personnel and oversee subcontractor activities.
• Lead and mentor the construction team to drive efficient project delivery.
• Accept, reject, or implement corrective actions on construction work.
• Manage pre-construction information to ensure task and CDM compliance.
What You’ll Need:
• NVQ Level 6 Construction Management qualification.
• IOSH Managing Safely.
• Manager CSCS (Health & Safety) card.
• Relevant professional qualification.
• Ability to obtain or hold SC clearance and monitored worker status.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Experience in regulated environments, ideally nuclear, with solid knowledge of CDM, risk management, and construction planning.
