Job Description
We are looking for two female carers to support a client living at home with dementia.
Location: Bishop Wilton. Nearest Town: Pocklington - 5 miles, Nearest City: York- 14 miles
Shift Pattern: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off
Salary: £840/ week
Start Date : ASAP
The Role: To provide practical assistance and emotional support to a client living with dementia. The client is physically able to do many tasks for herself, but requires prompting to do so. With encouragement the client enjoys going out for walks, visiting the local café, baking and helping out with household chores. She also enjoys having a pamper session with and having her nails and hair done.
The role will also require the care professional to:
1. Support the client to keep the house clean and tidy. She is very house proud so she will need help keeping her home up to scratch.
2. Prepare and enjoy meals with the client. She still likes to be in the kitchen and makes a great apple crumble with support.
3. Support the client with p ersonal care and ensure she takes her medication .
Placement Requirements: This placement is in a village so it is a requirement that the Care Professionals are able to drive. The client has a car that they are happy for you to use if you don't have your own. Public transport isn't very frequent!
Your Accommodation: Our client lives in a lovely housewhere you will have your own bedroom, bathroom and access to WIFI
