The Opportunity
This is an exciting chance to join a company where tradition meets innovation. They are seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead the Technical Team and develop within the company as part of their UK growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead product safety, quality, legality, and authenticity for the UK market.
* Engage with customers’ technical functions and suppliers to deliver high service levels.
* Manage specifications, audit questionnaires, gap analysis, customer site visits, BRC and HACCP compliance, food labelling, ERP systems, Horizon scanning, shelf-life extensions, traceability, and customer complaints.
* Promote Food Safety Culture within the company.
* Manage and develop two direct reports, including training and growth opportunities.
* Identify and implement process improvements.
* Position involves some UK and international travel.
Candidate Profile
* Degree or HND in a food-related discipline, with at least 5 years’ experience in a technical role within a BRC-accredited food manufacturing environment in the UK or Ireland.
* Knowledge of supply requirements for major grocery retailers and food manufacturers.
* Strong organizational skills, with a 'completer finisher' mindset.
* Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
* Decision-making ability and initiative.
* Full, clean driving license.
