Job Title
Consultant Psychiatrist – Community Mental Health, West Wiltshire and Devizes (WWKD).

Role Overview
Deliver direct interventions to service users at a level of intensity according to need, including provision to those who require an assertive approach and are difficult to engage. Provide ongoing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and physical health needs. Offer medical input and leadership to the WWKD CMHT, with responsibility for patients from surgeries in Melksham and Trowbridge.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advice to members of the Multi-Disciplinary Teams and attend regular MDT meetings.
* Assess and treat outpatients in clinics.
* Hold CPA meetings for outpatients.
* Visit patients in their own place of residence when clinically indicated.
* Liaise with other parts of the service, GPs and non-NHS organisations where applicable.
* Liaise with Intensive and Inpatient services to facilitate smooth handover of clients between services.
* Fulfil the Responsible Clinician role for patients subject to Community Treatment Orders.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant qualification in psychiatry and experience in community mental health settings. Proven ability to deliver assertive outreach and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
