Are you an organised and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting a thriving school environment? We are seeking a dedicated School Office Administrator to join our friendly team at John Mayne C of E Primary School, a vibrant primary school located in Biddenden.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, has excellent communication skills, and is adept at managing multiple priorities in a busy school office. There is also the potential for this role to include Family Liaison Officer (FLO) responsibilities for candidates with relevant experience and a passion for supporting families.

About the Role:

As our School Office Administrator, you'll be the welcoming face and organisational backbone of our school. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office, providing administrative support to staff, pupils, and parents.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Managing the school's reception, including welcoming visitors and handling enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
* Maintaining accurate school records and databases (e.g., pupil data, attendance, admissions).
* Handling incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
* Assisting with financial administration, such as processing invoices and managing dinner money.
* Supporting the Headteacher and other staff with administrative tasks, including diary management and correspondence.
* Ensuring school policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Assisting with school events and trips.

We are looking for someone who:

* Has previous administrative experience, ideally within a school or educational setting.
* Possesses excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google.
* Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
* Is highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Is proactive, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure.
* Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude.
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 days. Part time also considered.

Salary: NJC Scale 5, points 12-17, £23,730.38 to £25,741.95 per annum
