Cleaner with enhanced dbs check

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Part-Time Cleaner with a Enhanced DBS check to work at a school in Birchwood. Job Purpose To maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment within the school premises, ensuring high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices and communal areas. Key Responsibilities Daily Cleaning Duties Clean classrooms, corridors, staircases and communal areas. Wipe desks, tables, chairs and hard surfaces. Vacuum carpets and mop hard flooring. Empty bins and dispose of waste safely. Clean toilets, washrooms and replenish consumables (soap, paper towels, toilet tissue). Clean internal glass, doors, handles and touchpoints. Maintain hygiene in staffrooms, kitchens and dining areas (light cleaning only, not catering duties). Periodic / Weekly Tasks Dusting skirting boards, window sills, shelves and fixtures. Deep cleaning of toilet areas. Damp-wiping walls and surfaces as required. Spot-cleaning marks from walls and paintwork. Health & Safety Responsibilities Work in line with COSHH regulations for cleaning chemicals. Follow all safeguarding protocols within a school environment. Ensure equipment is used safely and stored securely (e.g., vacuums, mops, chemicals). Report hazards, damage or maintenance issues to Site Manager. Ensure all doors are locked and areas are secured after cleaning (if part of role). Requirements Essential Previous cleaning experience (idealy in commercial, office, or school). Ability to work independently and follow a cleaning schedule. Good awareness of health & safety and hygiene practices. Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail. Enhanced DBS check The working hours are Monday - Friday 3:15pm - 6:15pm The pay rates are £12.71 per hour Temporary to Permanent JDR is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
