An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Business Support Officer to join the Business Support Team for the Children & Families Service based at Sandpiper House, Selby.
The Role
We are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to work with the NYC Fostering Service in providing high quality, professional support to the Fostering Recruitment Panel, Foster Carer Review process and in supporting Supervising Social Workers with their case management. You must be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines.
The Skills you will need to demonstrate for this role are:
Good use of computer packages, such as Excel and Word, bespoke systems and/or data entry, have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, as a key part of this role is liaison with Foster Carers and Professionals on behalf of the operational team. You must be able to prioritise your own workload, be conscientious, well-organised and have the ability to problem solve and be solution focussed, have the ability to work with limited supervision as well as being flexible in your approach.
Experience in minute taking is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided.
You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection (GDPR), Equalities and Health and Safety requirements of working within an office environment.
