Senior Systems EngineerRate: £43.00 per hour LTD Location: Warton, Lancashire Duration: 12 Months Role Overview Our client, a leading aerospace and defence company, are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to work within their EF Typhoon Avionics Joint Team, design team based at Warton. The candidate will be responsible for new requirements capture and initial design concepts for the Avionics. Responsibilities and tasks Main responsibilities will include:Requirements analysis and clarification with the customer and affected parties.Analysis and agreement of requirements for new capabilities in order establish a feasible design solution.Identification and partitioning of system/sub - system responsibilities for new capabilities including associated DAREO\\\'s Dependencies, Assumptions, Risks, Exclusions, Opportunities.Establishing \routes to clearance\ for new capabilities using safety standards.Ensuring detailed design teams are engaged in the design and contribute as necessary.Establishing and maintaining design philosophies by providing advice/guidance during subsequent design phase.The candidate should ideally:Be educated to Degree or equivalent standard in an Engineering or related subject.Have experience in the aircraft/Aerospace industry and have broad knowledge of Avionic System Design and Operational use.Experience of Systems engineering and Architecture frameworks is highly desirable.Experience of enterprise architectures NAF, DODAF, MODAF, Zachman would be an advantage.UML 2.0 / SysML experience would be preferable.Have good Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.Have a broad experience of avionics domains, computer and network architecture.Be a keen problem solver.Have great personal skills - Communication, Team Working and Motivational Skills.ADDITIONAL SECURITY REQUIREMENTS WE SEEK A SENIOR SYTEMS ENGINEER WHO HAS WORKED IN A MILITARY / DEFENCE ENVIRONMENT / INDUSTRY WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS OR WHO IS CAPABLE OF OBTAINING SECURITY CLEARANCE SC LEVEL MINIMUM.
