Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £45,000 – £46,000 + Lots of OT + KPI Bonus
Shift: Double Days ( 6-2 / 2-10 Monday to Friday)
Location: Commutable from St Helens, Widnes, Warrington
Training and development provided such as PLC Programming courses Fully Funded, Product specific training
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Widnes. This is a permanent position offering long-term security, excellent training, and a highly competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
Responding to reactive breakdowns across the site to minimise downtime
Fault finding, problem solving, and repairs on manufacturing/production machinery to ensure maximum plant reliability and performance
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of electrical plant equipment and components
Providing on-shift electrical support to the maintenance and engineering teams
About You:
Time-served or fully qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 / HNC / Apprenticeship)
Proven experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
Strong fault-finding skills and experience with PLCs, motors, sensors, and electrical systems
Team player with a proactive and safety-first approach
Desirable:
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
FMCG or manufacturing industry background
