Provide a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children aged 0–5 years.
Plan, deliver, and review creative learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Support children’s individual development and well-being through play-based learning.
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress to inform planning and share updates with parents and carers.
Build positive relationships with colleagues, children, and families to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
Support with daily routines such as meal times, toileting, and outdoor activities.
Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed.
Experience:
Experience working in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting.
Confidence supporting children’s learning and development across all EYFS areas.
Proven ability to build supportive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth understanding of child development and early years practice.
Creative, caring, and enthusiastic approach to early education.
Reliable, organised, and proactive team player.
Educational requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training desirable (or willingness to complete).
