Job Title: Cutover Manager Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cutover Manager to lead the transition phase of our ERP implementation programme covering a new ERP solution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the cutover activities to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to the new ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project delivery, with specific experience managing end-to-end cutover processes across complex technology landscapes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the cutover strategy and a detailed cutover plan (covering rollback), including milestones, dependencies, tasks, owners, and timelines. Collaborate with technical, functional, business, and third-party stakeholders to ensure alignment of all cutover activities. Coordinate with project teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure all cutover activities are completed on schedule. Identify and mitigate risks associated with cutover execution. Facilitate cutover rehearsals and dry runs to validate readiness. Coordinate data migration, system switchovers, infrastructure changes, and production deployments. Monitor and report on progress, issues, and status during cutover execution. Work with the Test Manager to manage the post cutover smoke tests Prepare the post cutover Go/No-Go Project Board slides for final approval Document all cutover activities and lessons learned for future reference. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Cutover Manager in large-scale IT implementations (e.g. ERP, SAP, Microsoft Business Central). Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically SAP and Microsoft Dynamics. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel). Experience with stakeholder engagement at all levels Preferred Skills: Experience in change management and user training is an advantage, but not essential. Knowledge of industry best practices for ERP cutover. Location and Work Environment: Based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Hybrid and onsite presence (3 days a week in Edinburgh) is required May require weekend or overnight work during cutover execution windows.
