Manchester University invites applications for a passionate and driven Football Assistant Coach - Coordinator to join our Athletics Department. This position plays a key role in supporting a successful NCAA Division III football program through leadership in coaching, recruiting, eligibility, retention, budgeting, and game day management.
What You’ll Do
* Coaching & Team Management: Assist in developing student-athletes through organized practices, training sessions, and competitions. Promote safety and sportsmanship at all times.
* Recruitment & Retention:Lead recruitment efforts focused on academic and athletic excellence. Collaborate with Admissions and Student Life to support student-athlete success and maintain strong retention rates.
* Leadership & Development: Evaluate assistant coaches, provide athlete feedback, and contribute to departmental events and fundraising efforts.
* Program Operations: Support budgeting, equipment management, travel logistics, and game-day operations. Coordinate with Sports Information, Athletic Training, and Facilities teams.
* Compliance & Eligibility: Monitor NCAA Division III and institutional compliance. Ensure all athletes meet eligibility standards.
What You’ll Need
* Bachelor’s degree or at least five years of coaching experience required
* Experience with NCAA Division III athletics (as coach or athlete) preferred
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Commitment to the values of equity and inclusion
* NCAA Division III Rules Test and CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
