TQ Education & Training (part of the Pearson Group) is a provider of outsourced training services to the UK Ministry of Defence, other public sector organisations and private companies both in the UK and overseas. You will support Functional Skills delivery as part of the Army Royal Engineer Apprenticeship contract with the MoD however, your role isn't just limited to one contract; you'll have the opportunity to work across various exciting TQ partnerships!
About the role
You will be responsible for delivering English and Mathematics Functional Skills qualifications to learners across our Pearson TQ Work Based Learning contracts. This is a peripatetic role and will involve teaching, motivating and guiding learners to success across various locations, including:
1. Minley, Surrey
2. Aldershot, Hampshire
3. Worthy Down, Hampshire
4. Tidworth, Wiltshire

Your key responsibilities
5. Teach English and Mathematics Functional Skills qualifications at levels 1 and 2.
6. Motivate a caseload of learners to ensure they successfully complete their learning on time.
7. Provide engaging onsite and remote teaching support.
8. Conduct Speaking and Listening assessments (including recording) and complete Awarding Body paperwork.
9. Complete Tutor Rationale, Programme Plans and Learning Session Records for each learner.
10. Ensure the learner’s e-portfolio is updated with evidence of learning, achievement, feedback, communication attempts and show the learning plan.
11. Have available an up-to-date syllabus, schemes of work, lesson plans and learning materials aligned to individual learner needs.
12. Prepare and use suitable teaching and learning materials which consider differentiation and individual learning styles.
13. Undertake other specified duties including course/resource development, tutorial support and associated administrative tasks.
14. Provide relevant Functional Skills statistical data to the management team.
15. Maintain accurate records and follow appropriate Quality Assurance and Risk Management systems and protocols.
16. Join the team in staff and self-development training.
About you
17. Relevant teaching qualification, PTLLS
18. A minimum level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics
19. Experience of delivering Functional Skills (English andMathematics) up to level 2
20. Experience of providing face to face and remote support to learners using a range of delivery methods
21. Ability to embrace and develop practical and innovative delivery models for Functional Skills
22. Ability to adopt contextualised Functional Skills delivery techniques to engage learners
23. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
24. Flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic
25. Full, current driving licence
26. Car owner, with a willingness to use on Pearson TQ business as required (mileage allowance payable)
