Are you passionate about making a difference for people, carers and young carers in Nottinghamshire? If so, this could be the role for you! An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Strategic Commissioning Team for a Commissioning Officer. The postholder will have a particular focus on Young Carers and will work closely with a range of partners including health, neighbouring local authorities, the voluntary sector, service providers and people who use services, as well as carers and young carers themselves. As a member of the commissioning team, there will be opportunities to get involved in other projects that support current programmes of work which will increase your knowledge and develop your skills. We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, experience of successful partnership working and the ability to think strategically and drive your own area of work. You should also be proficient in utilising and analysing data and communicating what this tells you through verbal presentations and written reports. You will use these skills to review activity, consider opportunities for development and manage project work. The role covers the whole of the County, and the team is based at County Hall, West Bridgford. A hybrid model is in place with team members working either from home or Council buildings with an expectation of attendance in the office base at least once per week. The role is a fixed term contract to 31st March 2026 and is also available as a secondment. For an informal discussion about this role, please contact helen.neville@nottscc.gov.uk
