GSL Education are seeking a passionate Reception Teacher to join schools in Nottingham, where you will help create a welcoming and engaging learning environment, laying the foundations for pupils’ lifelong education and development.
About the Role:
As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to Reception-aged children. You will plan and implement engaging lessons, support social and emotional development, and foster a love of learning. This role provides an exciting opportunity to shape the early educational experiences of pupils in a nurturing environment.
Reception Teacher Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Support children with additional needs, including SEN, where required.
* Organise and lead creative and practical activities to encourage exploration and curiosity.
* Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence in learning.
Reception Teacher Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching in EYFS/Reception classes.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
* A passion for early years education and fostering a love of learning in young children.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
