What the Job Involves This role involves managing the implementation of electric vehicle charging schemes on lamp columns, fast and rapid chargers on public highways, and estate chargers in Hackney Housing. You will conduct consultations and prepare traffic management orders, ensuring that statutory and legal obligations are met in a customer-focused manner. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will assist in different phases of traffic engineering schemes, including concept development, feasibility studies, and implementation of urban realm improvements and public transport enhancements. The position focuses on delivering substantial expansion of the borough’s EV infrastructure, aiming to install 3,000 chargers by 2030 and encouraging a significant uptake of electric vehicles.
