Overview
First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Electrical Installation Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. We encourage applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the health and safety during the commissioning phase of the project.
* Develop relationships with the client to ensure smooth delivery and handover.
* Provide progress updates to the Commissioning Manager & Project Manager and raise concerns when necessary.
* Ensure electrical installations meet quality standards, regulations, and manufacturer best practices.
* Demonstrate leadership to positively influence team results in the best interest of the company.
* Produce and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all electrical activities.
* Assist in producing electrical installation plans, inspection/test plans, and training manuals.
* Coordinate with the systems integration team for Site Acceptance Tests and Telemetry commissioning.
* Review P&ID diagrams and develop strategies to commission plant and equipment in line with client specifications, minimizing risks.
* Attend site meetings with client representatives from engineering and operations teams.
* Oversee electrical installation, interfacing, and commissioning of equipment.
* Undertake or supervise NICEIC electrical testing to C&G 2391 standards as requested.
* Demonstrate electrical installations to clients for sign-off prior to takeover.
Skills and Qualifications
* City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in electrical installations BS7671 18th edition (2382-18).
* C&G 2365 Electrical essential; 2394 & 2395 Inspection & Testing (desirable).
* City & Guilds AM2 qualification.
* City & Guilds 2391-52 initial and periodic inspection & testing qualifications or equivalent (desirable).
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Proficient in Office 365 suite.
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation regarding safe work practices.
* SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
* CSCS card.
* First Aid trained.
* Significant industrial electrical installation experience with some commissioning background.
* Understanding of promoting safety culture on site.
Location: Pangbourne, Berkshire
Salary: £46,000 – 55,000 Per Annum
