Job Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Digital Designer to join our fast‑paced, forward‑thinking Digital Design team at NEXT, based at our Leicestershire Head Office. The role offers a competitive salary range.
Responsibilities
* Generate concepts, develop high‑impact visuals and bring ideas to life through design, animation and video across onsite placements and off‑site platforms.
* Lead video concepting and ideation for onsite ads, ensuring ideas are engaging, brand‑aligned and platform‑appropriate.
* Present concepts confidently to internal stakeholders and brand partners.
* Collaborate with brand, marketing and trade teams to shape concepts, formats and creative approaches.
* Partner with performance teams to ensure creative supports conversion and sales goals.
* Create style guides, brand decks and visual toolkits where needed.
* Apply and adapt guidelines, styles and layouts across formats.
* Explore new tools, techniques and processes to keep the team ahead creatively and technically.
Qualifications
* A strong creative portfolio with 5+ years’ experience in a similar digital or creative role, ideally within fashion, retail or eCommerce.
* Comfortable presenting ideas and design rationale to internal stakeholders and external brand partners.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to take feedback onboard and refine work where needed.
* Experience working with fashion or lifestyle brands, with a good understanding of brand tone, audience and seasonal trading cycles.
* High attention to detail and a sharp eye for layout, typography and storytelling.
* Proactive, flexible and adaptable – able to respond to shifting priorities and business needs.
* A collaborative team player with a positive, “can‑do” attitude.
Technical Skills
* Excellent skills in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, with the ability to edit and reformat video content for different media outputs.
* Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
* Good working experience of Figma – from layout to prototyping and asset handover.
* Familiarity with Google Workspace tools – Drive, Sheets, Slides – for briefs, feedback, and creative sign‑off.
* Experience using Asana or similar project management tools.
* Awareness of paid social platform formats – Meta, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
