Night Escalator Engineer – Gatwick Airport, TK Elevator
Gatwick Airport is a 24/7/365 operation. This is a shift role with hours 6pm‑6am on a 4‑on‑4‑off basis.
Responsibilities
* Servicing and maintaining customer lifts
* Repairing or replacing lift parts
* Responding to mechanical failures and breakdowns
* Carrying out safety checks and risk assessments
* Planning and managing workload around assigned jobs
* Maintaining van stock and ordering supplies through our supply chain
* Recommending parts and equipment that need to be quoted or ordered to keep the lifts compliant
Qualifications
* NVQ3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent qualifications
* Hold a full UK Driving License
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to use initiative and work well with others
* Positive attitude and receptive to change
* Extremely organised
* Superior customer‑care skills
* Ability to self‑assess and take ownership of personal development
* Advocate for H&S regulations in the workplace
