Our client is a 200m turnover business looking for a proactive and customer-focused Credit Controller to join their credit management team. You’ll manage a sales ledger in line with credit management processes and policies, building strong relationships internally and externally to support excellent customer service and healthy cashflow. Ideally the successful candidate with have credit control experience with a large ledger, they will also consider training a candidate in their credit control procedures as long as they have a good understanding of the credit function gained through a high-volume, call-based customer service role. Key responsibilities * Managing allocated sections of the sales ledger as part of a team * Building and maintaining strong customer relationships * Chasing outstanding debt to maximise cashflow and reduce overdue balances in line with targets * Working closely with internal departments to resolve account queries and discrepancies * Allocating customer payments accurately * Maintaining up-to-date and accurate customer account information * Supporting the wider team and undertaking additional duties as required What we’re looking for * Credit control experience from a large ledger * Alternatively, strong customer service experience in a high-volume call environment with exposure to credit processes * Seeking a candidate with a proven track record of stability and longevity in previous roles. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong customer focus with a drive to deliver high service standards * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Well organised, self-motivated and able to work under pressure * Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn bespoke systems quickly Salary is dependent on experience 28k - 30k. Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm. This is an office based role. 23 days Birthday holiday (holidays increase with service to 25 days)
