As an Account Handler, you will support Account Executives and Directors across a varied commercial portfolio. The clients range from established SMEs through to larger, more complex risks. It is proper commercial insurance work, not high volume micro policies.
What you will be doing:
* Managing renewals from invitation through to placement
* Processing mid term adjustments accurately and efficiently
* Preparing documentation and renewal reports
* Liaising with insurers to negotiate terms and secure competitive quotations
* Acting as a day to day contact for clients, answering queries with confidence
* Supporting senior colleagues with larger or more technical cases
* You will be given responsibility. This is not a box ticking Account Handler role where everything is dictated by process. You will be encouraged to think, question and learn.
What you will bring:
* Experience as an Account Handler within commercial insurance
* Strong working knowledge of core commercial insurance classes
* Good insurer relationships and an understanding of market appetite
* Attention to detail and a calm approach under pressure
