Job Opportunity: Assistant Accountant
Our client is a main car dealership seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team and support the Dealership Accountant.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and be AAT or ACCA qualified, or hold an equivalent qualification.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Monthly electronic vehicle stock check reconciliation
2. Consignment stock reconciliation
3. DOC reconciliation
4. Weekly control of manufacturer bonus debts, liaising with managers and administration
5. Daily vehicle debtors control, liaising with managers
6. Paying finance settlements
7. Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
8. Assisting with Sarbanes-Oxley audits and reports
9. Maintaining high standards of administration and record-keeping in compliance with accounting practices and company procedures
10. Ensuring the smooth and methodical flow of work
Candidate Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in an assistant accountant role within the motor industry
* Full AAT or ACCA qualification, or equivalent
* Experience with Kerridge ADP is preferred
* Ability to work efficiently, manage own tasks, and motivate the team
* Capability to handle larger projects while managing daily workload
Package:
* Basic Salary: £32,000
* OTE: £34,000
