Job Description
Are you an experienced Trainer with a strong Defence background? We’re looking for a skilled professional to join our team and support the delivery of high‑quality, compliant training across Defence programmes.
1. Providing expert advice and support in the analysis, design and delivery of training solutions that meet Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) standards.
2. Conduct DSAT compliant training delivery in accordance with JSP 822 and DTSM 1-4.
3. Produce training packages for use by the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
4. Deliver work packages as part of an integrated project team, working through the system life-cycle from design to test and acceptance.
5. Monitor project schedules, report metrics, and track progress effectively.
6. Take ownership of assigned tasks, meeting key objectives and deliverables in a time-critical manner
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the role:
7. Proven Defence Training Experience
A solid background in training within the Defence environment, with hands‑on experience delivering DSAT‑compliant training.
8. Military Communications Expertise
Experience in Military Communications is essential. Knowledge of the BCIP system is highly desirable.
9. Strong Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills
10. Ability to perform detailed analysis, including root‑cause investigations and fault‑finding.
11. Excellent Communication Skills
Confident in producing clear, well‑structured technical documentation and delivering engaging presentations.
12. Training Design & Analysis Experience
Experience in training needs analysis or training design is an advantage.
13. Policy & Standards Knowledge
A thorough understanding of JSP 822, DTSM 1–4, and other relevant Defence standards and policies.
14. Relevant Qualifications
Defence Trainer qualifications are desirable but not essential.
15. Collaborative & Self‑Sufficient
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
Additional Information
Salary for this position is £42,080 to £52,000, depending on experience plus our excellent flexible benefits package.
We offer hybrid working - for this role ideally we are looking for an average of 2 days per week per month working from our offices. Also some planned travel to customer sites will be required due to the nature of the role.
