Sales Ledger Clerk / Preston / Salary £25,000 – £27,000 / Permanent Role
Role Overview
As the Sales Ledger Clerk, you will be working as part of a small team and be responsible for managing the accounts receivable and credit control process. You will work closely with and report into the Financial Controller.
Responsibilities:
* Raising invoices
* Raising credit notes
* Cash allocation
* Proactively chasing overdue debts
* Sending customer statements
* Handling ad hoc duties and problem solving
* Managing telephone enquiries from internal and external sources
Experience Required:
* Experience in a similar accounts or admin role with a good work ethic, effective communication, and time management skills
* Sage 50 experience is desirable
* Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables
* Flexibility and initiative in task management
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to work
