We have an exciting opportunity for a Male Support Worker to join our community team working across Rossmore and Southbourne area.
Due to the needs of the people we support, we can only consider applications from male candidates with experience with Autism or Complex Care. To be considered for this role you must hold a Full UK manual driving licence.

Get to know the people we support
George has been with Autism Unlimited since the start of the year working with our futures provision and was welcomed in to our adult services programme in March. George is eighteen years old, he is verbal and uses visual aids to help him plan and understand his day.
He is very energetic and enjoys activities such as:
* Going to the cinema.
* Playing mini golf.
* Enjoying a relaxing swim.
* When it rains, George prefers to stay indoors and watch a Marvel film or youtube.
George is supported on a 1:1 basis and is reliant on his support staff. He requires assistance with personal care, medication and meal preparation.
Josh is thirty two and lives in his own flat within our supported living model in Southbourne. He is non verbal, however, he prefers to communicate with PECS cards. This will help assist him make decisions such as what he wants to eat or where he would like to go throughout the day. As he can feel anxious in certain situations, he may take himself away to enjoy tranquility.
Josh loves being outdoors in the community and appreciates;
* Beach walks
* Bus rides
* Picnics
* Cycling around Moors Valley country park with his support workers.
The hours:
This role is 33 hours per week. This would include a mixture of shifts, Monday – Sunday, with hours ranging between 7am – 10pm on a two week rolling rota.
You would be required to work alternate weekends and sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment)
