Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operation of plant rooms and HVAC systems within a prestigious corporate environment at Stockley Park. This flagship site demands a meticulous, proactive, and safety-conscious approach to engineering excellence.
🌟 Key Responsibilities
You'll be part of a high-performing team with access to relevant training and upskilling, responsible for:
1. Managing HVAC assets including BMS, FCUs, AHUs, VRF and VRV systems
2. Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across building services
3. Diagnosing and resolving system faults while maintaining clear client communications
4. Handling small power, lighting, and minor mechanical/plumbing tasks
5. Participating in the on-call rota for emergency and reactive works
6. Completing documentation, RAMS, and working within permit-to-work systems
7. Providing high-quality customer service and proactive building walk-throughs
8. Supporting additional building duties (e.g. porterage, minor fabric repairs) as part of a One Mitie approach
🧰 Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
9. Familiarity with Health & Safety procedures and permit systems
10. Manual handling capability, including working at heights
11. Strong communication skills and digital proficiency
12. Ability to work independently or collaboratively
Preferred:
13. C&G Level 3 Heating & Ventilation
14. Mechanical Engineering credentials
15. 17th or 18th Edition Electrical certification
📋 Experience Profile
You should bring hands-on experience in a facilities/maintenance/ high end corporate office environment and demonstrate competency with:
16. Scheduled maintenance tasks (e.g. fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, temperature readings)
17. Reactive repairs and first-line fault response
18. Meter readings, luminaire replacements, plumbing fixes
19. Accurate work documentation using digital platforms
