The Role
We are currently recruiting qualified SEN Supply Teachers to work in special schools and SEN provisions across Leeds. These roles are ideal for teachers who are passionate about inclusive education and are looking for flexible work while making a meaningful impact on pupils with additional needs.
You will be supporting children and young people with a range of needs, which may include ASC, SEMH, ADHD, MLD, SLD, or PMLD, across primary and/or secondary settings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging and structured lessons tailored to individual learning needs
2. Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
3. Manage behaviour using positive and trauma‑informed approaches
4. Follow EHCP targets and adapt learning accordingly
5. Work collaboratively with support staff and SEN teams
6. Ensure safeguarding and SEN policies are followed at all times
Essential Requirements
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. Experience working with children or young people with SEN
9. Strong behaviour management and inclusive teaching skills
10. Flexible, resilient, and empathetic approach
11. Good understanding of safeguarding practices
12. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
